App: Arandouria
Developer: Andreas Schulz
Last updated: 11 October 2026

Summary

Arandouria does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. It does send anonymous gameplay statistics that cannot be tied to you (see Gameplay Analytics below). All game progress is stored on your device. If you use iCloud, your permanent progress (unlocks, meta-level) is also kept in your personal iCloud account so it can sync between your devices. The developer has no access to it.

Data We Store

Data We Do Not Collect

In-App Purchases

Arandouria offers optional in-app purchases (character classes, dungeon expansions) processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not handle payment data directly. Apple's privacy policy applies to all purchase transactions.

Crash Reporting

Arandouria uses Sentry, a crash- and error-monitoring service (data processed in the EU, Frankfurt region), to help us find and fix bugs. When the app crashes or encounters an unexpected error, a diagnostic report is sent automatically. This report contains only: device model, OS version, app version, and the program's stack trace at the point of the error. It does not contain your name, email address, IP address, game progress, or any other personally identifiable information.

Gameplay Analytics

Arandouria uses TelemetryDeck, an anonymous analytics service (data processed in the EU, Germany), to help us balance the game's difficulty and to understand where new players get stuck. At certain moments of play an anonymous event is sent — for example when a run starts, is resumed or ends, when you reach a new dungeon level, when you meet a quest giver or finish a quest, and, during your very first run, at a few early steps such as your first move, the steps of the introduction, equipping a weapon or defeating your first enemy. Each event describes only what happened in the game: for example the dungeon depth, character class, cause of death, type of equipment, character level, number of turns played, the control scheme in use, and the name of the quest or introduction step.

Like any analytics tool, the service we use attaches standard technical context to each event: the app version, the device model and iOS version, screen size, your language and region settings, display and accessibility preferences, the time the event was sent, and an identifier for the current app session that is discarded when the session ends.

None of this identifies you. The app reports the same fixed value for every installation instead of a user or device identifier, so events carry no identifier that links them to you, to your device, or to each other across sessions. No advertising identifier is used. This data collection is disabled during development and only active in the released app.

iCloud Sync

If your device is signed in to iCloud, Arandouria stores a copy of your permanent progress (unlocks, meta-level) in your personal iCloud account (Apple's iCloud key-value storage) so that it syncs between your own devices. This data stays within your Apple ID; the developer cannot read or access it. Without iCloud the game works identically — your progress is then kept on the device only.

Game Center

If you are signed in to Apple's Game Center, Arandouria reports the achievements you earn and your leaderboard scores to Game Center so they appear in your Game Center profile. This is optional: without a Game Center sign-in the game works identically and nothing is reported. Game Center is operated by Apple; the app never sees your Game Center friends or profile data beyond the sign-in status.

Children

Arandouria does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app contains no age-gated content or features requiring parental consent.
